Unrelated geekery or Digital billboard errors
Nothing makes a nerd happy like catching an error message on a digital billboard. And spotting one in or near Times Square (one of the world’s epicenters of digital billboard advertising) is a bit like a zoologist catching a glimpse of a Siberian Tiger jogging around Central Park.
So recently, I was returning from a meeting a few blocks north of my office (38th and 8th in midtown Manhattan) when I caught sight of this treasure on the northeast end of the Port Authority, directly across the street from the newly constructed and recently scaled New York Times building. (All the photos in that first Gothamist link were taken by Michael Chan, an employee of Chat Ventures!)
